GediendsonGEDIENDSON RIBEIRO DE ARAÚJO – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Viçosa (2010), Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Wild Animal Reproduction from the UFV's Department of Veterinary Medicine, and Post-Doctorate from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. He is in charge of the Laboratory of Assisted Reproduction of Laboratory Animals at the UFMS Central Animal House. He works with breeding of domestic and wild animals. He has experience in wild animal management, telemetry animal monitoring, camera trapping, training and driving of sniffer dogs, and scientific capture of wild animals.

 

PedroPEDRO NACIB JORGE NETO – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from Unifeob (2007), with Master of Business Administration in Agribusiness from ESALQ/USP, Master of Science in Animal Reproduction from FMVZ/USP, and improvement in Reproduction and Semen Processing in Australia. He holds an ongoing Ph.D. in animal reproduction from PPGRA-FMVZ/USP and specializing in Project Management at FIA. He is the Technical-Commercial Director of the Brazilian subsidiary of IMV Technologies. He is knowledgeable about animal reproductive, nutrition, and genetic improvement.

 

HernanHERNAN BALDASSARRE – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor in Veterinary Medicine from the FCA at the University of Buenos Aires and a Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science from McGill University. Focusing on small ruminants, he has conducted research over the past two decades targeted at optimizing superovulation techniques, MOET, semen freezing and IAL, LOPU and PIVE, production of genome-edited and cloned animals, etc. He is in charge of building and managing strategic research partnerships with private organizations interested in doing joint research in areas of mutual interest at McGill University.

 

ThyaraTHYARA DECO-SOUZA – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Viçosa (2007). Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine from the UFV's Department of Veterinary Medicine, with an emphasis on the morphophysiology of reproduction in domestic and wild animals. She teaches Clinical Medicine and Surgery of Wild Animals, Wild Animal Breeding, and Ethology and Animal Welfare at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. Member of the Mato Grosso do Sul technical rescue group for wild animals (GRETAP). Current coordinator of UFMS's postgraduate Veterinary Sciences program.

 

CristianeCRISTIANE SCHILBACH PIZZUTTO – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Master of Science in Anatomy of Domestic and Wild Animals, Doctor of Philosophy, and Post-Doctorate in Animal Reproduction, all from the University of São Paulo. Currently, she is a professor at FMVZ / USP and the president of the Animal Welfare Commission of the Regional Council of Veterinary Medicine for the State of So Paulo. Committee member for the International Environmental Enrichment Conference. She has expertise in the field of veterinary medicine for wild animals, with a focus on reproduction, behavior, environmental enrichment, and animal welfare.

 

LetíciaLETÍCIA ALECHO REQUENA – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais - Campus Poços de Caldas (PUC-Poços; 2013). She holds the positions of Production Manager and Technical Manager at Genética Bacurizinho and Evolve In Vitro, respectively. She is knowledgeable in laparoscopic artificial insemination (LAI), laparoscopic ovum pick-up (LOPU), semen processing, superovulation, and embryo collection.

 

KikyANNELIESE DE SOUZA TRALDI – Founding member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1979), Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1983), Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental and Comparative Pathology from USP (1995), and Post-Doctorate from INRA/France in cryopreservation of small ruminant embryos. Since 1983, she has taught obstetrics and biotechnology for the reproduction of small ruminants at FMVZ / USP. Sh e served as the president of CEUA-FMVZ/USP. She was the obstetrician for the bovine cloning program (FZEA / USP-Vitrogen) and was in charge of the small ruminant cloning program. She has vast experience with the production and cryopreservation of in vivo and in vitro embryos, as well as the various reproductive biotechnologies of small ruminants.

 

MaitêMAITÊ CARDOSO COELHO DA SILVA – Member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (2017) and Master of Science in Veterinary Sciences from the same university (2020) in the experimental line of reproduction and genetic resource conservation. Currently, she is a resident in the Residency Program in the Professional Health Area - Veterinary Medicine and Health at UNESP (Campus Jaboticabal - SP). She is knowledgeable on reproductive biotechnologies for animal conservation, the capture and containment of wild carnivores, and wildlife pathology.

 

MaitêANTÔNIO CARLOS CSERMAK JR. – Member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Univicosa (2012), Master of Science in Animal Science (2007) and Doctor of Philosophy in Veterinary Medicine (2011) from UFV, and Post-Doctorate from the Department of Applied Biochemistry at UFV and at FAMEZ/UFMS. He has expertise in Animal Science, with a focus on the management and production of wild animals, and Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on the reproduction and in situ and ex situ conservation of wild animals. He was a professor and coordinator of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine courses at the UNA University Center.

 

MaitêTHIAGO LUCZINSKI – Member (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Paranaense University (2000) and Master of Science in Veterinary Sciences from the FMVZ/USP. He participated in the internship program at Lincoln Park Zoo and Shedd Aquarium (Chicago, United States of America) and spent time at Centro de Resgate, Rehabilitação & Reprodução de Fauna Güira Oga (Misiones, Argentina). He currently serves as Technical Manager at Instituto NEX - No Extinction and at the Apoena Breeder (wild psittacines), assisting private clinics in the medical and surgical clinic of unconventional species. He is a Professor of Clinical Medicine and Surgery for non-traditional Pets at the PPG (Instituto Qualittas). He was the director of the Brasilia Zoo's reptile and amphibian section.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UNIPAR (2007), a post-graduate degree in Higher Education Teaching from FAG (2010), and a Master of Science in Animal Science from UNIPAR (2012). He is a partner at both Anestezoo Consultoria Veterinária and Animaniacs Educação Ambiental at now. He is on the clinical staff of the Bolson Veterinary Hospital, the Animed Veterinary Clinic, the Instituto Onça-Pintada, and the Brazilian Institute of Specialties in Veterinary Medicine.

 

FelipeFELIPE COUTINHO – Anesthetist (Curriculum vitae)
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (2012) and specialization in Public Health with a focus on the Human and Wild Health Interface from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2016). He is the Technical Responsible for the Scientific Breeding Center for Research Purposes at UFMG, the Keeper of Wild Fauna Bem Viver - MG, Instituto Onca Pintada - GO, and the Keeper of Wild Fauna Chauá - MG. With his own office, he operates a small animal clinic.

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universidade Paulista (1998); Master of Science in Experimental and Applied Zoonoses Epidemiology from FMVZ/USP (2019). Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in animal reproduction at PPGRA-FMVZ/USP on the topic of "Reproductive Management of Capybaras in Closed Areas at Risk of Brazilian Spotted Fever Transmission." She teaches courses in veterinary medicine at Unimax and UniFAJ.
